President's Greeting
On behalf of the Radiant Ladies of the ELITE Eta Chapter of Zeta Sigma
Chi Multicultural Sorority, Inc., I would like to welcome you to our
virtual home on the web!
Zeta Sigma Chi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. was founded
on March 3, 1991 at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.
Our Mommy Chi's sought to create a sisterhood that would unify women
from diverse backgrounds and encourage them to succeed in their studies,
careers, lives, to challenge them to experience the world around them,
and to make a difference in their communities.
As students at The University of Texas at Austin and
sisters of Zeta Sigma Chi Multicultural Sorority, Inc., we pride ourselves
on our history and tradition of strong academic achievement and our
outstanding sisterhood. We seek to uphold the principles our Founding
Mothers believed in: Education, Success, Culture, Service, and Sisterhood.
Today, the ELITE Eta Chapter distinguishes itself in
the Central Texas community through excellent programming including
the following annual events: Multicultural Greek Week, a multi-organizational
week-long service and philanthropic effort dedicated to one non-profit
organization; Moving to a Different Beat, a unique cross-cultural
talent show that partners various multicultural organizations; and
Women's Health Day, a campus-wide initiative to present pertinent
issues of feminine health to students, staff and faculty, and community
members.
Please feel free to browse our site and learn more about
our sisterhood, and see what we have to offer. If you have any questions
or comments, please sign our guestbook or contact us!
Sincerely,
Erica King
